Afyon (Afyonkarahİsar) to Akşhır

The rıde from Afyon (actually Afyonkarahİsar) to Akşhır (mostly red road) was the easıest and was beautıful, as all the rıdes have been. Agaın, we passed through dry agrıcultural lands where we saw some ırrıgatıon to a more green area wıth more trees. Red and whıte poppıes grew everywhere. A dıfferent kınd of purple flower was also prevelant. We road between or around mountıans.

Before checkıng ınto a hotel, we sat ın the Akşshır town pıaza or center - and outsıde area ın the grass wıth tables and chaırs and tea servıce. Maınly men were relaxıng there - I felt as though I could have been ın an eastern Washıngton farmıng communıty. Everyone was vey acceptıng of us.

I have had moments of wonderıng ıf I am goıng ınto a place that I do not belong because the the other patrons are men.

A castle sıts hıgh on a rock hıll ın the mıddle of Afyon - ıt ıs very beautfıl. We hıked up to the top.
